Terms of Service

1. The service

QuizForge is a pub quiz training platform that provides daily quiz questions, streak tracking, XP progression, leaderboards, and team challenges. We offer a free tier and a paid subscription tier called QuizForge Pro.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with reasonable notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any such modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use QuizForge. By using the service, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

You must provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date account information. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

3. Accounts

You may create one account per person. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent limits or bans is not permitted. You must not share your account credentials with others.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at legal@foundryapps.co.uk.

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws or regulations
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service, other users' accounts, or our systems
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the service
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, scripts) to access or interact with the service without our prior written consent
• Manipulate leaderboards, quiz scores, or streak data through any means other than legitimate gameplay
• Impersonate any person or entity, or falsely represent your affiliation with any person or entity
• Transmit any content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or impair the service's performance

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately and without notice if we determine that you have violated these Terms.

6. Intellectual property

All content, software, designs, quiz questions, and materials on QuizForge are owned by or licensed to Foundry Apps Ltd and are protected by UK and international intellectual property laws.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the service for your personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, or exploit any content from the service without our prior written consent.

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide about the service may be used by us freely and without obligation or compensation to you.

7. User-generated content

If you submit any content to the service (such as a display name or team name), you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating the service.

You are responsible for ensuring that any content you submit does not infringe third-party rights, violate any laws, or breach these Terms.

8. Disclaimers

QuizForge is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that:

• The service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components
• Quiz questions and answers will be free from inaccuracies (though we strive for accuracy)
• Any specific feature will remain available indefinitely

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law, including rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Foundry Apps Ltd's total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the service shall not exceed the total amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £50, whichever is greater.

We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, whether arising from contract, tort, or otherwise.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the service at any time if you breach these Terms, or for any other reason with 30 days' notice. We may terminate immediately if required for legal, safety, or security reasons.

Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. Sections 6, 8, 9, and 11 survive termination.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.

We would always prefer to resolve any dispute informally first. Please contact us at legal@foundryapps.co.uk before pursuing formal proceedings.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes at least 30 days in advance by email or via a notice in the app. Continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
