Refund Policy
Last updated: 1 April 2026
This Refund Policy applies to QuizForge Pro subscriptions sold by Foundry Apps Ltd to consumers in the United Kingdom and the European Union. It is written in accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
1. Our products
QuizForge Pro is a digital subscription service providing access to unlimited quiz sessions, streak freezes, advanced statistics, team challenges, and early access to new features. It is available on the following plans:
- Monthly: £2.99 per month, billed automatically each month
- Annual: £29.99 per year, billed annually (saving approximately 16% vs. monthly)
As a digital subscription, QuizForge Pro constitutes “digital content” and “digital services” within the meaning of the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
2. Your 14-day cooling-off right
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your subscription within 14 daysof purchase (the “cooling-off period”) without giving any reason, and receive a full refund.
Important: early access waiver
If you choose to start using QuizForge Pro features before the 14-day cooling-off period has expired, you will be asked to give your express consent to immediate supply of the digital content and to acknowledge that this waives your right to cancel under the cooling-off period.
If you do not give that consent (i.e. you do not access any Pro features), your 14-day cancellation right remains fully intact and you are entitled to a full refund upon request.
3. Refunds after the cooling-off period
Once the 14-day cooling-off period has passed (or if you have given your express consent to early access), refunds are not automatically available. However, we assess refund requests on a case-by-case basis in the following circumstances:
Technical issues
If QuizForge Pro features are materially unavailable or faulty for an extended period and we are unable to resolve the issue within a reasonable time, you may be entitled to a full or partial refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Please contact us as soon as the issue arises so we have the opportunity to fix it.
Billing errors
If you were charged incorrectly — for example, charged twice, charged after cancellation, or charged the wrong amount — we will correct the error and issue a full refund for any duplicate or erroneous charges promptly.
Exceptional circumstances
We handle requests compassionately. If you contact us shortly after a renewal and have not used the service in that period, we may offer a refund at our discretion. We are a small team and we want every customer to feel fairly treated.
4. Annual subscriptions
Annual subscriptions are billed in full at the start of each billing year. The 14-day cooling-off right applies in the same way as monthly subscriptions.
After the cooling-off period, annual subscriptions are non-refundable for the remaining term except where required by law (e.g. technical failure or billing error, as described above). You may cancel at any time to prevent automatic renewal, and you will retain Pro access until the end of the paid year.
5. How to request a refund
To request a refund, please email us at:
Subject line
Refund Request — [your registered email address]
Please include
- Your registered email address
- The date of purchase
- The subscription plan (monthly or annual)
- The reason for your refund request
We aim to acknowledge all refund requests within 2 business days and to resolve them within 14 calendar days of receiving your request.
6. How refunds are paid
Approved refunds are processed via the original payment method used at purchase. Paddle (our payment processor) handles refund disbursement. Depending on your bank, refunds typically appear within 5–10 business days of approval.
We cannot issue refunds to a different payment method than the one used for the original purchase.
7. Free tier
The free tier of QuizForge involves no payment and is therefore not subject to this Refund Policy.
8. Your statutory rights
This policy does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law. In particular:
- Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital content must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. If it is not, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund.
- Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day right to cancel contracts for digital services entered into online, subject to the early-access waiver described in section 2.
If you are unhappy with our response to your refund request, you may contact the Citizens Advice Bureau or refer your complaint to an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) provider.
